Dashboard Lite 1.6.10 Release & Dashboard Pro beta

 

        Dashboard 1.6.10               

 

Dashboard Pro initial beta-1 release (must be listed Pro to use Pro beta).

Initial Features

  1. Better background support for large numbers of connections (1000+).
  2. Ability to use a Folder Tree like view of all systems with up to 3 levels of subfolders.
  3. Drag and Drop folder management.
  4. Unlimited numbers of duplicate connected devices allowing multiple ways to organize and view connections in tree.
  5. Tooltips for real-time Folder Tree view.

Dashboard 1.6.10 was timed to coordinate with the release of the Pro beta-1, so had only critical corrections and a short list of upgrades.

Corrections

  1. Updated Registration to work with Crestron systems with the word "Crestron" in the host name.
  2. Corrected Registered Devices  issue where on some non-Crestron systems the system did not show Red when system went offline.

 

New Features

  1. Enhanced support for Registered Device sorting, including ascending and descending directions.
  2. Added sort for On/Off line systems.
  3. Enhanced tooltips for new/first time users.
  4. Updated and easy to find help topics.
  5. Added support for: AV3, Pro3, CP3, DM64x64, DM128x128 and GLPAC-DIMFLV4/8

This version of the Dashboard had significant focus on our support for the Internet of Things (IoT).  While our base focus continues to be commercial automation and monitoring, we plan to greatly expand our support of a large variety of equipment.

 

Release Notes;

  • Fix several bugs on the Registered Connections Screen and enhanced information provided with connections.
  • Added Complete Toolbox remote (through the firewall) support for TSW Touch Panels.
  • Upgraded Control by Web x300 temperature sensor support for Thermostat Mode.
  • Enhanced debug and diagnostic log for better 3rd party development.
  • Added additional support for Branding of companies that want to resell the Dashboard.
  • Added additional support for Raspberry-PI in console mode.
  • Added Remote Crestron Hardware Support screen (see add'l info below).
  • Added direct link to Crestron modules for;
    • Remote Reset Module (.umc) drop in for SMW projects.
    • Remote Hardware Control Module (.umc).

 

 

Remote Hardware Control

Features; 

  1. Drop module into any SMW program and connect the hardware for quick remote access to Relays, IO status, analog signals and custom triggers. Use in an empty SWM program for early testing of installation without being on site.
  2. Automatic update of system status real-time.
  3. Ideal for supporting remote meeting spaces, classrooms, and other locations that need a support team to ensure smooth operation.
  4. Unlimited numbers of custom signals from the console interface for performing any operation.

  1. Added Charting to X300 temperature sensors.
  2. Added zoom to charting X300.
  3. Corrected connection issue for slow responding Crestron systems.
  4. Added connection reset.
  5. Cleaned up support for Large numbers of Crestron Devices.
  6. Cleaned up data for Crestron Energy Sensors (EM-MCU).
  7. Added more support "hints" to Crestron and X300 devices.
  8. Added more info to Initial Start-up Wizard - with reset.

  1. Load Testing - Completed testing with 5,000 connections. Found some bugs in scaling and got corrected.
  2. Found that Watched items much more important in large projects. Added auto move to top of watched page for disconnected items.
  3. Because of several requests we are going to add some cool UI Graphics that will aid AV Support teams in "at a Glance" recognition of down systems.
  4. Initial release will be called "Support Dashboard Lite", and later release will include SQL database support.

Tuesday, February 26, 2013 

  1. Due to popular demand we held up the release and completed the work on the Cresnet Tools Module. When looking at a Crestron Window there is a new menu item "Cresnet Tools". This does lots of Bulk CresnetID work for large Cresnet Networks.
  2. Pushed Max number of Crestron Network Devices out to 225 with the Discovery Scanner.
  3. Corrected bug in Watched Devices List.
  4. Some older Crestron Devices do not support all Crestron Commands so don't show up under "Discover" command.
  5. Discovered MC3 bug in Client Connect. Sometimes the MC3 will not reach out until rebooted.

Release in one Week. Submit any final bugs for this list;

  1. Rename fails in some networks depending on Router Host reporting.
  2. Watch list is not persistent between restarts.
  3. User permissions are problematic on Windows Server 2008 R2.

  1. Completed addition of Device Rename functions on Registered Connections Page. Right click a device and select Rename and move over to Text box that opens. Pre ENTER when done and name will change. To go back to default change the name to empty space.
  2. Corrected Historical Data folder path bug.
  3. Began pre-coding for Crestron CresnetID Management tool. Planning for Wed 6th completion.
